  • Thanks for visiting my blog! I am a happy and busy (but wouldnt have it any other way!) mum of four great kids who are my shining light. I love them to death and I am rewarded everyday by them reminding me how much they love me in return! They support me and 'our' family business to no end. I have a wonderful husband who is a tower of strength and is the best dad in the world!

Happy Birthday to my baby girl!...

Today is my baby girls 9th birthday!

Bianca collage 369

Bianca was my little bundle of joy that came into the world 4 weeks early!...was only 5 1/2 lb and was the cutest little thing I had ever seen...ok, I am biased!

I will never forget this day (below). Bianca was born at 12.20am just after midnight.  Geoff went home to the other 3 babies and had a sleep, got them up and bathed, dressed and ready to come to the hospital to pick Bianca and myself up!...I would have gone home straight away if given half the chance, but because she was born in the middle of the night, they said I could leave during the day...

At around 2pm, Geoff, Courtney (4yrs 3wks old) pushing her stroller toy pram, Samantha (2yrs 8mths old) pushing her stroller toy pram and Mitchell (15mths old) came running down the corridor of the hospital.

Courtney 4yrs 369

Courtney walked into my room and promptly asked me "Where is my baby so I can take her home mummy?"  "I brought my pram for her and if she doesnt like my pram, Samantha brought hers".  Well, how do you top that one!

I hope you have a beautiful day for your birthday (Baby Girl) Bianca.

Have a lovely weekend,

I cant show too much more or I will give it all away.  Same as the last mailout, there will be a surprise in the mailing for you, to finish your project off beautifully...cant wait for you all to see it.  The buttons that will be in this mailout are brand new too!...so an added bonus.

Here is a peek at another new stitching I have been working on, A Cats Life.

Cats life 369

I have ironed the transfer onto the fabric, now all thats left to do is stitch!...looking forward to it.  I also have a new Christmas stitchery that will be ready hopefully in time for the Melbourne Craft and Quilt Fair at the end of the month!...about 3 weeks away!  I better get off and do some stitching then.

Until next time, keep smiling and happy stitching,

Jasper growing up...

Jasper has certainly come a long way from his first days here in our home.  He was so skittish from not being handled very much as a kitty at the breeders...but today, he is just the sweetest cat ever.

Welcome kitty 369

From this scared little kitten, to...

Honey and jasper 369

a 7 month old tweenager cat who loves our Honey Bunny (Toy Poodle).  They play together, sleep together, and chase each other through the house, its quite funny seeing a small cat 'wrestle' a dog!

Jasper 2 369

He must have got some pointers from this book about Marley the dog...

Jasper 369

sorry for the fuzzies, but here is our little boy tucked up and asleep on the lounge, feeling very loved!!!

We will catch up on some of my stitching and some new projects nex time...

Watch out girls, I seem to be back in full swing again...

Until next time, keep smiling and happy stitching,

Lets play catchup...

I have just found my camera!!! yay...I really wasnt sure where it had got to, but I knew that some photoes were on it, but I just didnt realise how many were on it!  So I thought we might play a bit of catch up...I received a lovely comment from one of my Giggle Club ladies asking how our cat is, how are the kids etc, etc, etc...

So over the next few days, I am going to play catchup to fill you all in whats been happening here.

Cake 369

On the 16th June was my DD Courtney's 13th!!! Birthday...we had dinner out with Ray and Rio up at the local Tavern, and had a great time!...

Courtneys 13th 369

The birthday girl!...who is doing well, thanks to all the comments we receive about her health...more on that later.

Family June 09 369

A family shot...wow no family portraits in years, and all of a sudden 2 in 2 months!...I really cant believe how big they ar getting.  Mitchell had football practice before dinner, and hubby was fighting the dreaded lurgy.

Rio & Sonya 369

It was great for Rio and Ray to come along to Courtney's birthday...

Ray and rio 369

Heres Ray making Rio look really good!  We told him if the wind changes, he will stay like that, but he did it anyway!

Bianca and courtney 369

My DD1 (Courntey) and DD4 (Bianca) sharing a lovely time at the dinner with DS2 (Mitchell) in the background

Courtney party 369

On the Saturday, we had a lasertag afternoon in our back paddock (4 1/2 acres of it!).  I forgot to take lots of photos cause I was mostly in the paddock trying to shoot them all!...I had so much fun...the adults came in the afternoon and we had a dusk shoot out...it was fabulous!

Well thats it for this catchup, next time, how Jasper is getting on in the house.

Until next time, keep smiling and happy stitching,

Giggle Club sweets!...

I have just put the finishing touches to the new Giggle Club project for August's Mailout, and thought I would share a few sneak peeks.  I am also working on another project for Homespun for next year, and will show another sneak peek of that one soon...

Here it is...

Cake shop crop 1 369

and here...

Cake shop crop 2 369

It looks very scrum-diddly-umptious!...doesn't it.  I am working on the colours at present so I can share a peek of my actual project very soon!  What delicious things have you been up to lately...

Remember, if you would like to receive our Giggle Club mailouts, be sure to go to my website to join up!  Otherwise you are going to have to wait until next year for these projects to become available, and they wont be at the great value price of $20 (within Australia) or $25 (throughout the world).

Until next, hopefully not so long, time...

Family Portrait...

I thought I would share with you a photo that we had taken at the wedding back in April when I was a bridesmaid for Ray and Rio...anyway, we finally got some photoes back last weekend, and tonight I finally got to go through them...

Jones family 2009 369

What a beautiful bunch!  I was so very proud of them I could have burst!...

As I noted on a previous post, Jan has started here with us part time...must remember to get a pic of her so you can all 'meet' her...its great to finally have someone else to ease the load off mum and myself...thats where I have been for the last few weeks...showing Jan the ropes with all the steps to making our gorgeous buttons!...and she is breezing through, which is great!

I have started on a couple of new projects and am making some headway on a new BOM that will be ready to go in the new year...another project also is on paper, just waiting to get started on also...but it will have to wait its turn!  All good things come to those who wait!...I keep telling it...

Anyway, off to get some shut eye before another big day tomoro, before I head off to Hobart for the Craft & Quilt Fair down there...I havent been there since taking over GB, but I know its going to be damn cold and am packing lots of lovely warm woolies and the good ol' 'Spencer'....

Until next time, hopefully not so long, keep smiling and happy stitching

Transfers are now in our range!...

Just wanted to drop a quick note to you all, to let you know that I am now changing some of my patterns into Reuseable Hot Iron OnTransfers!

Too much350

Too much!...Birdhouse Blocks, just to name a few, are now being released with the reusable transfer pack.  These are so great because you can choose your own background fabric, iron on your design in 3 quick steps, and start stitching!...

We had these previously, however, I have found a better quality transfer printing method and have just received it!...so I have been working hard on adding the transfers to some of my most popular designs.

Next year, I will be adding the transfers to my Giggle Club projects also.  The majority of my designs from here on in will be using the reuseable transfer method so you can now stitch your designs on whatever background fabric you desire, without having to stitch on seeded homespun which I have previously done my screen printing on...it will be fabulous to have the choice of backgrounds now!  I am really chuffed, and have already put a new design into a transfer and will be stitching it madly this week whilst in Sydney at the Darling Harbour Craft & Quilt Fair.

Giggle Buttons will have our newest recruit Jan Jeffries, so if you are going to the show, be sure to stop by and welcome her.  We are on Stand E14...

Until next time, keep smiling and happy stitching,

What beautiful sewing machines...she does them in her spare time! huh whats that!

You can buy one here on our website and hopefully we will have enough to take to Darling Harbour show so you can see them.

We are currently working on a new range of colours, but you will have to wait a little longer for them...but we always try to keep up with colour trends .

Until next time, keep smiling and happy stitching...

Here it is...Rose So Sweet!...

I am happy to announce that I have finally finished my new design...Rose So Sweet

 Rose so sweet photo edited369

Here is a close up of one of the blocks for you

Rose so sweet crop369

The 'bling' just sets it off beautifully and am really thrilled with the outcome...better to have taken a bit longer and be really happy with the result!

Anyway, I am about to go and load it onto the new website, so go and check it out.

I am off for dinner with some visitors up for the Textile Festival here in Brisbane.  Julie Wallace from Quilters Barn and her friend Sue are staying with us in the 'Mad House!'  Wish them luck surviving with me and four kids!

Until next time, keep smiling and happy stitching
